Apollo Cloud co-founder and CEO Jonathan Marsden has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards. From growing the business to more than 300 customers to championing practical innovation and supporting his team, Jonathan’s nomination recognises the ambition behind Apollo Cloud’s journey.

We’re proud to share that our co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Marsden, has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards.
The award recognises people who turn ideas into reality, inspire their teams and make a measurable impact. Those qualities have shaped Jonathan’s approach to building Apollo Cloud Solutions.
Jonathan’s entrepreneurial journey began long before Apollo Cloud. He built his first communications business from the ground up, then chose to start again in 2023 with a new ambition: to create a company where excellent technology and genuinely personal service go hand in hand.
Since then, Apollo Cloud has grown to serve more than 300 customers. We’ve expanded our team, moved into larger premises in Leeds and welcomed Xi Communications into the business. Alongside that growth, we’ve achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification and continued to develop services that help customers communicate more effectively.
For Jonathan, innovation is about making useful ideas work in practice. That means exploring how AI can help our engineers find answers faster, developing new ways for customers to use their communications systems, and giving the team the skills and confidence to deliver those ideas well.
We’re also proud that growth has given us more opportunities to support causes close to home, including our partnership with Candlelighters.
As Jonathan’s co-founder, I’ve seen the energy and determination he brings to the business every day. This nomination is well deserved, and it also reflects the work of the whole Apollo Cloud crew, who bring our ideas to life for customers.
The awards take place on Thursday 1 October. Congratulations to every finalist. We’re looking forward to celebrating the talent and ambition across Yorkshire’s digital community.
